Daily Devotions – May 18, 2016 by Teresa Smeigh

He Died on the Cross For Us

By Teresa Smeigh

You can choose to be the wise man!

Matthew 7:24-25

Everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock … The winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall.

You have the choice to let situations build you up or tear you down.

I recently went through a situation and I let it tear me down. I am using this situation and my recovery from it to help me to be stronger in the future.

Dear Father,

Help me Father to make the choice to be the strong one and to continue to follow your lead.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you! I Corinthians 6:23

When I was praying for you last night, the Lord kept giving me the Al-anon slogan “Fake it til you make it.” which I took to mean you were to blog again as you did before and then I open my mail to find an answer to prayer. Praise God!. I’m so happy to see you doing your devotions again. 🙂
