Fibromyalgia Pain Tip – Wear the right bra

Most people probably don’t think that their bra could be part of the pain they suffer. I switched a long time ago to a cotton/stretch seamless bra with wide bands on the shoulders and no underwire, with a front hook. Now I actually find it less painful to pull it fully hooked over my head. I happen to be quite large and front hooks were hard for me to hook as well.

Stick with seamless front hook, soft material bras like the leisure bras or possibly a sports bra might fit the bill. No fancy, lacy bras. The lace is rough and they usually have an underwire. You want a bra with wide shoulders so the straps don’t cut into your shoulders.

Bras are uncomfortable without body pain. Don’t enhance the pain with the wrong bra.

“comfortable bra” is an oxymoron, like “government intelligence.”

I prefer sports bras for comfort. I got one of those genie bras, an ahh bra, and those things suck same as the rest. Bras are just society sanctioned torture devices.
