Malic Acid and Fibromyalgia

When I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I had joined a group. I got a lot of differing suggestions since not everything works for everyone.

One suggestion was to take Malic Acid. The person swore by it.

I, idiot that I was, bought a huge quantity of it online. They say that it was supposed to reduce pain in the first few days of use.

I struggled to swallow the super huge pill every day for months and for me it did absolutely nothing. That is just me. For you it might help. Give it a try. Ask your Fibro doctor for the dose.

Malic acid is also found in apple and cranberry juices.

Maybe it is the brand you bought. I get it for my wife in a magnesium supplement, and something else is in it. Maybe it needs the other stuff to work?

I don’t know. I got a whole list of supplements that were supposed to work, but didn’t. I am med resistant and that includes the natural supplements. I can’t take them either.

I am gluten, lactose, soy, etc intolerant, and therefore allergic to fillers in all meds. I try to do everything by food now.
