Fibro and Bacon…a big no-no.

It seems that bacon being high in fat affects the joints and muscles of those of us with Fibromyalgia. We shouldn’t have bacon or at least look for fat – free turkey bacon.

Bacon is one of my favorite foods and here it could be adding to my pain. Say it ain’t so!

The nitrates used to cure bacon and ham is the real problem, I buy nitrate free and it’s fine. I also went back to using real butter and guess what, I have lost weight. I take less of my pain vitamin supplements. I still have not found a ham so I still use Jenny O,turkey ham for my soups and sandwiches. So just look before you buy, buy leaner less fat if you want, I bake mine , but you can still have bacon.
