I went to the county seminar and they had 6 advantage programs. It is going to cost me more this year (what did I expect?), but luckily I get state help and extra help. They even pay part of the premium and all of Part B of medicare. At least they did last year. I hope I don’t lose my extra help. Because if I do I won’t be able to use the insurance I am paying for.
Surprisingly the PPO (no referrals) costs less than the HMO. I also can go out of network if need be. Which I do since not all my doctors are in my PPO at all. Some of the copays are also lower. That will help too.
