Diabetes numbers coming down, breakfast was too sweet, didn’t eat it all!


Well I am amazed. I have asked God to help me with my diabetes and my numbers which are never below 250 even fasting, were 122 this morning. Breakfast was too sweet. I actually left half of it on the plate. I couldn’t stand the sweet.

One of the ways I am aiming to fix in myself is this craving for sweets. Now I did have a soda though. One step at a time.

      Thanks, hopefully I can make myself eat better to keep numbers like that and then not crave sugar would be great. Right now I am withdrawing from medications so I can’t withdraw from sugar and caffeine at the same time.

        Oh my gosh, not sure if i told you i stopped sugar cold turkey thanksgiving day. And i STILL crave it!!! I mean this is ridiculous. Still could eat a cupcake in a second. But have not given in. So I TOTALLY understand that stopping anything and withdrawals are awful. One thing at a time right!

    I think it is great that you are tasting your food again and registering too much sweetness. That and your fantastic low blood sugar number is an exciting development. I wonder if it’s happening because you are withdrawing from one of your meds. It may have been masking your ability to taste oversweet in foods. I really hope this continues, just without the headaches.

      Figured out why my pain is so bad right now including the headaches. The cymbalta was actually working on something. I can’t win. Dinner was grilled tilapia, mashed potatoes and sweet corn.

    Yummy dinner! We had green beans and stuffing with cut up chicken in it. I’d saved the leftovers in the freezer and decided to cut the meat into bite size pieces, soak them in chicken broth and then bury them in a stuffing mix. Came out great with a bit of whole berry cranberry sauce but your dinner sounds better!

    I hate diabetes, but who doesn’t. Of all the disease I have, it is the one I do not understand. I have trouble getting my numbers down and keeping them there. I crave sugar, something I used to dislike. It doesn’t make sense to me why I developed a craving for it. I’m so glad you are seeing some good numbers. Stay strong!
