#WEEKENDCOFFEESHARE : Blood Sugars Coming Down, hurray!

Directions from ECLECTICALLI

Weekend Coffee Share is a time for us to take a break out of our lives and enjoy some time catching up with friends (old and new)!

Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? What are your weekend plans? Is there a topic you’ve just been ruminating on that you want to talk about?

All are welcome! Just add your link to the Linky-List, and be sure to visit others and join in their conversations! The link will be open from Friday February 8th at 7am (Pacific Time) until Monday February 11th at 7am (Pacific Time) to give us a good range of “weekend”!

If we were to have a coffee chat this weekend it would be to say that my Blood Glucose readings are getting better. I finally went back to the dr’s office and they changed the amount of insulin available for dinner time since my sugars were always high in the evenings. My pump isn’t having fits and warnings now and my numbers are much lower. My carb counting is still somewhat of an issue. Doing better with the infusion site changing although I still need to use the directions. I might have to use them forever. Not sure if I will ever get it. I was looking at the directions for the continuous glucose monitoring that I don’t have, but they sent the instruction book. That looks even more difficult. That would eliminate the need to check the blood myself. It would automatically be constantly checking and feeding the info to the insulin pump. Not sure I can afford that extra piece of equipment. This is working right now.

Still no brunch as my BFF is still sick. Whatever is going around and it is here in my building as well, it is really bad. Taking a few weeks to get rid of. I have really missed our brunches. Hoping she is feeling better next week.

Have a great week everyone!

So glad you and that pump are getting along better Tessa. I hope your friend is feeling better soon. I wonder – is there someone at your church who might appreciate an invitation to share lunch with you so you get some time to fellowship with and get to know better? You can never have too many friends – right?

I am not sure my friend would understand and we meet weekly because we are so much alike and can understand each other. Plus I haven’t settled into a permanent church.
