Tenth Anniversary of the April Blogging from A to Z Challenge
I have chosen to write for the mental health topic. It is very important to me that we support all those with mental health issues and I personally suffer from a good amount of them myself.
Klonopin (clonazepam)- an anti-anxiety medicine
*******************************
Anti-anxiety drugs like Klonopin are sometimes prescribed to treat severe manic symptoms associated with bipolar disorder, but Klonopin is not a primary medication used to treat bipolar disorder. I use it mainly for anxiety, but I take a very high dose and found it impossible to wean myself off of it although I did manage to lower the dose. The weaning process did take a while, but when I got to the day that I no longer took a dose, my body went crazy and I ended up in the hospital. It is not easy to get off these types of drugs once you get on them long term.
