Slip of the Schedule

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

“Terraforming? What the hell is that?” Shiela yelled to Tom.

“Transforming a planet so as to resemble the earth, especially so that it can support human life.” Tom yelled back. “Why?”

“They are talking about it on the news tonight.”

“That is so annoying,” Tom mumbled. “That wasn’t supposed to come up until next week’s news. Don’t tell me they are showing the picture of the apes or whatever type of monkey they plan on using  and that they cloned and plan on populating the new planet with.”

“Sure looks like it. Come see. They are cute”

Problems Showering With Fibromyalgia and ME/CFS

I find showers exhausting. I am lucky if I can take one per week.

Lessons Learned

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

Jean and John were out for a ride with the kids. The kids were warned not to stray off and to stay away from the ruins off to their side.

Looking over their shoulders they realized the adults were deep in conversation and so they took off for the ruins.

Just as they neared the buildings, Marshall’s horse tripped and broke his leg. The boys screamed for the adults. When then got there and saw the situation they had no choice, but to shoot the ailing horse. The boys were heart-broken. It was a terrible lesson they had to learn.

One-Liner Wednesday – (5/8/19) – Leggings and new topsOne-Liner Wednesday – (5/1/19) – Leggings

*********************

I am wearing my new leggings and one of the new tops I bought to go with it because I needed something long to hide my butt and now I have a new wardrobe (I wish I was skinny like her)

Rules from Linda G Hill:

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!

Three Things Challenge: PL83

Three Things Challenge: PL83

Rules from originator:

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Every day at 10PM (PST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride. Use 3TC as a tag if you’d like and link back to this prompt, or post your link in the comments below so others can find you.

Happy Writing! 😀

Today’s prompt: ankle, clown, apricot

Ugh!

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

The clown was racing around the ring with another clown chasing him. Suddenly he twisted his ankle on an apricot and down he went. The crowd roared with laughter. A tear trickled down his cheek. That really hurt.
