What Do You Mean We Owe Thousands Of Dollars
By Teresa Smeigh 2019
“Sign on the dotted line,” the debt collector said. “You owe the credit card company over several thousand dollars.”
“Are you kidding me? We don’t owe anyone anything,” Marsha said. She glared at the picture over his head. “What’s up with all the umbrellas?”
“That old thing? Someone just decorated my office that way. We need to come to an agreement about this debt you owe,” the debt collector said.
“I told you we don’t owe anyone anything. We are debt-free and don’t even have a credit card for that matter.”
“Then maybe someone stole your identity. You should check your credit reports and see what is on there.”
“Man, I hate that picture,” Marsha said.
“We aren’t signing anything until we get this straightened out.”
