Donkey Rides?

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

Lisa was a quiet little girl and her mother had to talk her into having a party with her friends. Her mother had promised her to have a pony to ride if she would agree to the party. It took quite a while of persuasion before the little girl would agree.

She was still not happy, but the party started, and they played pin the tail on the donkey while they waited for the pony to arrive. The truck pulling the trailer rolled in and they backed the animal out. Lisa just stared. It was a donkey, not a pony.

100 Word Challenge – inspiration is the word Boxes

100 Word Challenge: This week’s word is Boxes

I have this thing with boxes myself. I keep everyone I get that something came in because I just might need it for something. Whether it is for mailing things or storing things the end result is the same. Piles of useless boxes. I used to keep every shoe box, I stopped that for a while and then my friend talked me into buying the plastic ones. So, I have a ton of them now and have restarted my cardboard shoebox collection. This apartment has rules about being tidy and right now it looks like a tornado ran through here.

*****100 words*****

Tara’s Rules

1) I provide a one-word prompt.
2) Write anything you want using that prompt, either as inspiration or as part of your 100 Words.(That means you don’t have to actually use the prompt word, it can be implied.)
3) Your story has to be EXACTLY 100 words (because someone will ask, hyphenated words count as a single word.) This is the one rule I will be a stickler about.
4) Submit your story here as a comment, as a Facebook status, or as a blog post. (Add the specific FB status or post’s URL to the Mr. Linky list just under the prompt.)
5) If you write a blog post, please link back to this post. It makes it easier for me and the other Wordsters to find you.
6) You have one week to write your story and link up (The link stays open, so you can really submit stories whenever… this is the one rule I don’t really enforce.)

One-Liner Wednesday – (5/22/19) – writing my manuscript

One-Liner Wednesday – (5/22/19) – writing my manuscript

*********************

Feet still swelling up, confined to bed with my feet up more often and then spend the rest of the time writing my manuscript.

**********************

PS Chapters 1 and 2 are redone to fit the new outline since I have to watch the legal implications. Changes some of what I wanted to write,  but don’t need the government after me for using terminology that they have copyrighted or trademarked. Can’t even use the simple word Marine.

Rules from Linda G Hill:

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!

Summer Memories

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

My favorite summer memories were as a teenager when I flirted with the lifeguard at the lake. We were down there every day although I rarely went in the water. I was 16 and into boys.
