Weekend Coffee Share is a time for us to take a break out of our lives and enjoy some time catching up with friends (old and new)!

Grab a cup of coffee and share with us! What’s been going on in your life? What are your weekend plans? Is there a topic you’ve just been ruminating on that you want to talk about?

All are welcome! Just add your link to the Linky-List, and be sure to visit others and join in their conversations! The link will be open from Friday, February 8th at 7am (Pacific Time) until Monday, February 11th at 7am (Pacific Time) to give us a good range of “weekend”!

If we were having coffee, I would be drinking iced tea because I can’t stand this heat. You may have coffee or tea, whichever you prefer. If we were having coffee or tea I would tell you that the Lyrica is not causing a problem, but it isn’t helping either. Maybe I need a stronger dose. I can barely walk because of the pain.

I would tell you that they are coming to inspect our new floors. One of the bad things about living in public housing, everything is paperwork and inspections. I need to try and straighten this mess up before they come. We are supposed to keep things tidy, but my disability forbids much of that.

Today was food pantry day and that is so hard. I drive and my friend does the carrying. Without him carrying, I would not be going. And he needs a ride for the most part. He is thinking about stopping one of the two we go to. He stops I stop, which I won’t miss. My pain makes it so much more difficult. As it is I share half of it with some of my neighbors who can’t get out and go themselves.

I would also tell you that Sunday is brunch with my BFF. We meet every Sunday unless something comes up which isn’t often. I look forward to it. She is thinking about having her knees replaced and that could mean no brunches for quite a while. She still doesn’t know if they will approve the surgery anyhow.

Brunch with you BFF sounds fun. My best friend lives in a different province so we don’t usual get to do that but she was in my province unexpectedly so I drove 2 hours to have lunch. It made my whole week; so great to relax, catch up, drink coffee and eat!

    Have a great week.

Hi Tessa, Sorry to hear that your pain is so stubborn. I’ve never had something like that so can’t say that I even understand it but I’m pretty sure it can steal most of the joy of living. Stay strong my friend and I’ll keep praying for some kind of answer to your situation..

Thank you Gary. I don’t look forward to getting up the next day and I don’t sleep more than an hour or so and that requires a trip to the bathroom which is murder on the knees. I wobbled there last night and was afraid I might fall. Today I have to go to the doctor and that means a lot of walking. Just getting to my car in the parking lot here at the place I live is a long walk. Now this used to be a long walk to this doctor. They just moved and hopefully the walk is less.

Yes I am still on the Lyrica though not sure it is helping any although it is working on the chronic fatigue it seems. Inspection? Not sure what inspection you are talking about unless this is an older post and I was, oh wait maybe we are talking about the fire drill? That was canceled and haven’t had an inspection in a while that I can remember anyhow.

Oh I don’t know if that ever happened. If it did I wasn’t here. I forgot about that. I don’t know, we just had a major upheaval in personnel and everything is going crazy right now.
