Fatigue Syndrome – Dealing with overload & anxiety

Fatigue Syndrome

Dealing with overload & anxiety

Excerpt:

“Sensory overload may be linked to hypersensitivity, which is believed to be a core mechanism of FMS and ME/CFS. It means that our bodies react strongly to all kinds of input–noise, bright or flashing lights, crowds of people, strong smells, a chaotic environment, or multiple things competing for your attention.”

Red, White, and Blue

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

“Where is everyone at?”

“What do you mean? Who are you looking for?”

“My employees, of course. There is no one here.”

“Dad, it is a holiday, and they are all at the 4th of July parade.”

“I didn’t give anyone the day off. You and I can’t run this alone, it will get busier around meal times. They are your friends, and so you call them and tell them to get in here now!”

A bunch of forlorn people came in the door dressed in red, white, and blue, rather than their uniforms.

They were followed by the customers.

One-Liner Wednesday – (7/3/19) – 11 sets of fireworks on Thursday

One-Liner Wednesday – (7/3/19) – 11 sets of fireworks on Thursday

*********************

Out of my 6th-floor window, I could see 11 separate fireworks shows at once.

Rules from Linda G Hill:

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!

100 Word Challenge – inspiration is the word order

100 Word Challenge – inspiration is the word order

There is no order in my life. I have tried lists. I have even tried really detailed lists, and nothing seems to help. My life is a mess. My calendar is the closest I get to order. I buy one with huge boxes for each day and write everything on there. I have tried fancy organizers and spent a lot of money on them to no avail.

So I will stay with my calendars. I somehow got in the middle of the year and now every June I start searching for the calendar that begins in July rather than January.

*****100 words*****

Tara’s Rules

1) I provide a one-word prompt.
2) Write anything you want using that prompt, either as inspiration or as part of your 100 Words. (That means you don’t have to actually use the prompt word, it can be implied.)
3) Your story has to be EXACTLY 100 words (because someone will ask, hyphenated words count as a single word.) This is the one rule I will be a stickler about.
4) Submit your story here as a comment, as a Facebook status, or as a blog post. (Add the specific FB status or post’s URL to the Mr. Linky list just under the prompt.)
5) If you write a blog post, please link back to this post. It makes it easier for me and the other Wordsters to find you.
6) You have one week to write your story and link up (The link stays open, so you can really submit stories whenever… this is the one rule I don’t really enforce.)
