Moving On!

By Tessa Smeigh

Ron added a sleeping pill to the boy’s drink before bed.
As he drifted off Ron said, “That should keep him sleeping all night.”
“Do you think it is safe here, Ron?”
“Yes, it should be. It is a large beach resort and then wouldn’t expect us to stay here.”
“I heard Nan was caught.”

These tidbits have been continuing from week to week for about 3 months or more now…hard to write a continuing story when you only have 280 characters per piece and a picture to fit in but I am doing it!

Thank you. Who would have known that Tuesday I put in my 280 characters that it would turn into such a long term story. It’s been months now. Not sure how much further I can go with it though.

I thought the same thing many years ago when I wrote a little short story for my little nephews… who would know that it would be 20+ years in the writing and finally come to an end after 38 volumes (each over 500pgs). So, I get it, entirely. Saturday, I was out at “what pegman saw” for a 150wd challenge… 5 typed single spaced pages later, I’m still writing… hehe! Gotta love it!

I’m seeing a sequel here and noticed that you’ve been at it for months by you comment. i love it! I did this once with a micro fiction challenge. 25 stories later I had a little novelette. Haha! Carry on! I can’t wait to read next week! 😊
