Escaping North
By Teresa Smeigh 2019
Rodney hurried and packed for himself and Raymond. They needed a fast exit after grabbing the jewelry from Mrs. Wentworth.
They planned to take the water taxi from Lake Meade to Johnsonville up north and disappear from there. They could take a train over into Canada at the border and disappear into one of those small towns and just blend in. Up there they all dress the same in flannel shirts and dungarees.
They were met at the plane’s landing since they forgot that Mrs. Wentworth’s parrot would repeat their plans. The two men grumbled all the way to jail.

Great and humorous story, Tessa. The parrot was a blabbermouth. You just can’t trust them. Well written. 😀 — Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne. The parrot was a last minute addition. Wasn’t sure how to end it.
