Rochelle Wisoff-Fields-Addicted to Purple – Weekly Prompt – 100 words

Love My Kitchen
By Teresa Smeigh 2019
Stella was watching her favorite show about buying and flipping houses. She dreamed about being able to flip houses. Maybe she could if she could somehow afford her first house and flip it, she could set up a business doing it full time.
She continued watching the show and saw them hanging kitchen implements down off a rack on the ceiling. What a unique way to find homes for things as well as decorating. Maybe she would use that if she ever got a chance to flip a house. Of course, she could use it here at her current home.

Thank you. I watch a lot of these flipping shows and they have these racks with stuff hanging occasionally.

She sounds like a dreamer rather than a doer 🙂

Good one. Flipping houses… I’d just be happy to have one. Then again, I’m totally thrilled to be moving to a townhome. The nice thing about renting is when something like the furnace/waterheater/dishwasher breaks, it’s covered and fixed quickly. Also, I don’t have to worry about landscaping what with my allergies and all.

Yes that is a good thing with renting. Good luck with your new townhome. I don’t flip houses, but I watch the shows.

Dreams are fine, but not always the wisest route to take.
Here’s my story.

I certainly haven’t followed my dreams. I am living in public housing. However I have a roof over my head.

Seems like every time we get a house fixed up, repaired, redecorated, we have to move. We’ve been in this house for 25 years. Maybe it will be the one we stay in even after everything is updated. One room left–large bathroom—but we’ve been working on it for a whole year and there’s still no tub or shower, and the toilet is sitting NEXT to the hole 🙂

Flipping a house in her thoughts seems to have become a hobby with her. It doesn’t sound like she’s done any real planning for it. It would be a big project and cost a lot of money. It sounds like she just enjoys thinking about it. A good story though, Tessa. Well done. 🙂 — Suzanne

Thank you. Actually inspired by me. I love watching the shows. I have no real desire, talent or money to do it, but I enjoy watching the shows.
