Fishing Memories

By Teresa Smeigh 2019

Luke was looking forward to fishing with his son who was aged eight at the time. He started to get the equipment together and checked out borrowing a boat from his dad who fished all the time. Of course, his dad wanted to go with them and fish as he hadn’t been out in a while since he couldn’t fish alone.

Luke agreed to take him although he wanted it to be just him and his son. Common-sense won out when he realized that times with his dad were slowly coming to an end due to his age and health. There was plenty of time for him and his son to fish after his dad was gone.

After the day, he was glad that he hadn’t missed out on this time spent with his dad as his dad passed away that night in his sleep, and his son had memories of fishing with grandpa.
