Weekend Writing Prompt #159 – Intrepid – by Sammi Cox

Weekend Writing Prompt #159 – Intrepid – by Sammi Cox

Sailing up the coast could be dangerous, but the intrepid sailor didn’t let it bother him. He welcomed dangerous tasks and found they soothed his wild instincts. He liked to be free to roam wherever he wanted and however he wanted. A bad storm started to rage, and he was swept overboard

Sammi Cox’s Rules:

The challenge is simple: each week you will be given an exact number of words you can use to write a poem or piece of prose.  You can use any format or style you like; go wherever your inspiration takes you.  The only rules are these:

  • your poem/prose must contain this week’s word.  The word does not have to count towards the exact word count total – it can be in the title, or the first letters of the lines of a poem can spell it out – you can be as creative as you want as long as it’s there somewhere.
  • the length of your poem/prose must match the number of words stated in this week’s challenge.  No more.  No less.

The Weekly Smile for 6/1/2020 #weeklysmile – I now have an aide to help

I now have an aide who comes in Monday to Friday from 9AM to 1PM and she helps me bathe, dress, and do the household chores including the laundry. My apartment is so clean and she vacuums and dusts every day to help my asthma out.

So that is my smile in a time when finding a smile is difficult.
