Questions:

Do You Have Any Guilty Pleasures? Ice cream and other sugary treats, chocolate occasionally, and milkshakes.

What Is The Worst Pick Up Line You Ever Heard?  I had posted a personal ad looking for a man and stated the specific age group. I got an email asking if whatever age he happened to be was too old. I don’t know why he didn’t lie like most of them did.

For the guys: What’s The Worst Pick Up Line You’ve Used?

What Slang Or Trend Makes You Feel Old? Life makes me feel old. When I am with my dad at the long term care facility the women there hate me because they are convinced I am his wife and they are jealous. He doesn’t look 87 so I must look older than my 62.

What Do You Consider The Most Over-rated Song? I am not big into music unless it is rock and roll or punk or heavy metal. I hate love songs.

Instead of a Tender Mercies question, here’s a philosophical one instead:

You Find A Book And Begin To Read Only To Discover That It Is Your Life. You Get To The Point That You Are At Now, Do You Turn The Page Knowing That You Will Not Be Able To Change The Events To Come? Well if it was good news I would want to know, but there is no guarantee of that. I don’t know what to do in this situation. Because trying to live with bad news coming and you know it would be too hard.

Of course if you wish to share a Grateful For Tender Mercies (aka grateful, optimistic or happy) comment, that’s fine too!

Questions:

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?  If you don’t think Heaven nor God exists, you might want answer by saying something outrageous, just for fun! This is hard as I don’t know what I would want to hear. How about we have been expecting you? You are forgiven for your sins?

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Watching your parents turn from the strong parents you admired to little children that you have to take care of as they sink into dementia and strokes. My dad is just like a little child now and has to look towards my sister and I to take care of him which upsets him when he is lucid.

What do you think about when you’re alone in your car? Usually I am worrying about where I am going and what I have to do when I get there.

How would you rate your memory? Poor. I can’t remember things five minutes later and I repeat myself over and over and annoy my kids.

And lastly:

What’s one song that always cheers you up, no matter how blue you’re feeling? I can’t name a particular song, but to me rock and roll makes me happier and wanting to move to the music.

Questions:

What’s the first thing you notice about a person? Being obese myself that seems to be something that I notice in others and wishing I were thin if they happen to be thin.

What three habits do you feel would improve someone’s life? 1. Physical fitness, I now find at age 62, is important to follow throughout your life. I would be in better shape if I hadn’t stopped moving when my arthritis first started hurting in my 20’s. 2. Get enough sleep and not cat nap like I do. I am always exhausted. 3. Learning to eat nutritiously at an early age and make it a habit. My bad eating habits have caused me significant medical issues.

What takes up too much of your time?   Would you stop that if you could? Sleeping or trying to avoid my life. Wish I could stop that, but due to Bipolar Disorder that isn’t going anywhere. I must live with it.

Cookies (biscuits to those elsewhere), pastries, pie or cake?   If not, what does your sweet tooth crave? I love cheesecake or vanilla cake with vanilla whipped cream icing.

Gratitude?  Are You Happy?  If so, why?  If not, why not? No and again I blame most of that on my Bipolar Disorder. Whether I am manic or depressed it is still a form of depression and hence I am not a happy person.

Questions:

What, in your opinion, is the point to life? To be kind and honest to everyone.

What was your most recent lie?  You don’t have to get really specific obviously. I try not to lie in any form, but that doesn’t mean I am perfect either. Occasionally I have to tell a white lie to a neighbor who never leaves me alone.

What country do you consider the strangest?   (it’s all In fun folks, ALL countries may seem strange to outsiders) Only other country I have been in is the Bahamas. The cost of food was outrageous. Lucky we had food included in our package.

What’s your funniest story involving a car? When I was a very young girl my dad was trying to get to my grandmom’s for Christmas. It was snowing very bad and we had stopped at the grocery store. Dad asked if he could back up (was it clear?) Mom said yes it was. The next thing I remember is the car starting and then suddenly stopping. There was a light standard in the lot my mom did not see. As a kid it was funny. Mom and Dad weren’t laughing.

GRATITUDE

Do you have something you’re very thankful for or that showed immense kindness toward yourself or someone? I have a best friend that I found late in life, but she’s everything you could ask for in a friend.

Questions:

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time? Personally I prefer to sleep and block out the world for great amounts of time. If I couldn’t sleep I would read or write.

What job would you be terrible at? Accounting for one thing.

When was the last time you climbed a tree? If I ever did I was very little before my immense fear of heights took over.

Do you count your steps? No!

Bonus question (just because it’s really silly)   What’s the dumbest way you’ve injured yourself? I stuck the corner of a tri-corner paper towel into my eye and scratched the cornea which to this day still causes me lots of grief.

Share Your World – October 30, 2017

Share Your World – OCTOBER 30th, 2017

Where do you eat breakfast? Usually I eat breakfast at the kitchen counter or at my computer desk.

Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want have a evening with? Stephen King.

If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be? A beautiful, colorful blooming plant.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. My father doing his best to do his faith healing and divine intervention on my physical ailments.

Share Your World – OCTOBER 9th, 2017

What do you consider is the most perfect food for you? (It can be your favorite food to something extremely healthy.) I would eat tons of ice cream, but my diabetes blood sugar numbers will not allow it.  So health wise I love seafood, most of it and have learned to eat it broiled rather than fried.

Are you focused on today or tomorrow? If I can pry my mind from the past it is focused on the future. I can’t stay in today.

If you could interview one of your great-great-great grandparents, who would it be (if you know their name) and what would you ask? I have forgotten the first name I had for her, but she was a full blooded Native American and I would love to know more about her life.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. I appreciate everyone who has prayed or wished me well during my recent problem with severe pain and possible surgery. This place is just like a family.
