The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Nov. 25/17

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “ink.” Use it as a noun or a verb. Have fun!

*******************

Blink of an eye. It seems so simple, but it is not if you have eye injuries where the eye swells and there is no blinking just watery, runny eyes and pain. I have corneal erosion. A very simple eye injury to do and not one that is easily fixable if fixable at all. I have had both eye’s cornea’s scraped and next since this isn’t working is a probable laser surgery to try and fix the injuries. Not just one eye, but both.

Here are the rules:

1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing, (typos can be fixed) and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.

2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.

3. There will be a prompt every week. I will post the prompt here on my blog on Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a subject. For instance, I will not say “Write about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, “Make your first sentence a question,” “Begin with the word ‘The’,” or simply a single word to get your started.

4. Ping back! It’s important, so that I and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write “This post is part of SoCS:” and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of this post into yours. Your link will show up in my comments for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top. NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, such as Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read everyone’s! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later, or go to the previous week, by following my category, “Stream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find right below the “Like” button on my post.

6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!

7. As a suggestion, tag your post “SoCS” and/or “#SoCS” for more exposure and more views.

8. Have fun!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “shortcut/cut short.” Use one, use both, whatever strikes your fancy. Enjoy!

Short cuts are not good for me as I tend to get lost and then it is no longer a short cut, but a longer route.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Oct. 28/17 – which/witch/wich

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “which/witch/wich.” Start your post with the word “which” and try to fit the word “witch” in somewhere if you can. Bonus points if you use a word that ends in “wich.” As an added rule this week, you will lose all the points you’ve ever earned if you type “which witch is which” anywhere in your post. Have fun!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Oct. 28/17 – which/witch/wich

Which way should I go? I get lost so easily I am a laughing stock of many groups of people because I am directionally challenged. Judging by the witch I see on several doors this neighborhood celebrates Halloween.

Driving on and watching for my destination I bite into a huge sandwich.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “season.” Use the word “season,” add a suffix to it, or write about one. Bonus points if the first and last word of your post is a season or a seasoning. Extra bonus points if you have pictures. Enjoy!

Seasons are definitely changing here. Right now we are in Autumn or Fall, but my favorite season is spring. Fall reminds me that everything dies, but Spring is alive and I can’t wait to delve back into Spring.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS October 7, 2017 Save/Safe

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS October 7, 2017 Save/Safe

It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for your Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt. I should probably mention I’m not Linda, I’m Joey from Joeyfully Stated, filling in for Linda while she does important published author things like signing books. How exciting!

I had some excitement today as well. After discovering the email and used prompt list was not in my precious Save folder, I had myself a right good panic. You maybe don’t know this about me, but I am one of the world’s foremost alarmists. Chicken Little ain’t got nothin on me. Fortunately, my daughter saved me from myself.
Cleanest digging through “Trash” I’ve ever done.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: save/safe. Use one or both. If you start and end with either of them, you’ll get bonus points.

After you’ve written your Saturday post tomorrow, please link it here at this week’s prompt page and check to make sure it’s here in the comments so others can find it and see your awesome Stream of Consciousness post. Anyone can join in!

To make your post more visible, use our SoCS badge! Just paste it in your Saturday post so people browsing the reader will immediately know your post is stream of consciousness and/or pin it as a widget to your site to show you’re a participant. Wear it with pride!!

I need to save myself from myself. I am my own worst enemy. I have medical conditions galore and I manage to upset myself before I have to. I have to find out what is going on and what might possibly happen and how awful it might be. And might be is the operative word. Many times things simply aren’t as bad as I originally thought. Right now I am focused on the possibility of back and neck surgery for stenosis of the spine, herniated and missing discs and pinched nerves. Nothing like having your entire body numb and tingling with pain.

SoCS Prompt

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “do/dew/due”. Use one, use two or use all three. If you start and end with two of them, you get bonus points. If you use all three AND start and end with two of them, you get Linda’s bonus points plus, I’ll match hers – from me to you. And, lest we all forget – Enjoy!

Make use of it any way you like. Have fun!

Do you ever stop to think about the dew on the grass and flowers? How sparkly and shiny it makes them? I figure we are heading there weather wise soon and we are due.
