Flying High by Teresa Smeigh 2019

Mary took her two sons, John and James to an amusement park. They were interested in the Ferris wheel. Mary told them they had 2 hours and to stay together. “Text me if there’s a problem.”

Noting that the Ferris wheel had been stationary for a while Mary worried. She headed over there and found that the wheel was broken down and she didn’t know if her boys were on it or not. “No text!”

She watched in horror as she saw first one, then her 2nd son climb over the side of the wheel and start to climb down.

This happened to me in real life. Only it was a log flume and we were told we had to climb down. I was a lot younger then and more physically able, but it was scary. Then we got to the front of the line for the next ride LOL!

Real boys don’t call mommy. They put on their big boy pants and climb down 🙂 I love this story, maybe because I can see my own three sons pulling a stunt like that. “Why didn’t you call me?” “Well, we figured you couldn’t climb up and get us, and we didn’t want to worry you.”

Lol! Real girls do that too. This happened to me on a flume ride and we had to climb down from the top of the ride. It wasn’t fun either. That was a long time ago LOL!

It was a ride like a roller coaster so they had as climb down the sides holding up the rails. Only the people who were floating around in the water didn’t have to climb down. They just sat and waited.
